Many of you are aware that Marcus suffered a cardiac arrest last summer during a weekend basketball tournament. We’re writing today with some touching news.

The coordinator of that same tournament, Jhayde Zamora , recently reached out to Team Marcus about this year’s event. In an incredible act of generosity, he has offered to donate 25% of the tournament’s proceeds to support Marcus and his continued care. You can find more information here:

Throughout this entire journey, the Alaska basketball community has shown unwavering support for Marcus and our family. From organizing signed jerseys from every school, to the South High basketball team sending him warmups, and now this fundraiser—your kindness has meant the world to us.
