We wanted to make sure Marcus felt celebrated on this milestone birthday. We attached balloons to his wheelchair, and he received a lot of birthday wishes from people throughout the day. While it was an emotional day for everyone involved, overall it was great for him and for all of us.

In a full circle moment, Marcus attended a Bulls versus Warriors basketball game a couple of days before his birthday. It was this same matchup that he saw for his 10th birthday. He was a bit tired during this game, but we believe it was still a good experience.

Team Marcus would like to thank everyone who sent cards and/or videos. We received 57 videos, totaling about 20 minutes, and 38 birthday cards arrived for him. We greatly appreciate the support that the community has shown Marcus. As we know, life has a habit of moving fast, so if you still want to send Marcus a video wishing him well, we will make sure he sees it. The more friendly faces he sees and voices he hears, the more it helps him on his road to recovery.
