September 17, 2024 Update. 

We have not yet left for Chicago. There are some last-minute issues with insurance, which have delayed our departure.  We believe we have addressed all the issues and concerns, and we are praying that we will have a departure date and time as soon as Wednesday morning. 

While Marcus waits to leave, he continues with PT/OT and does fairly well with it as well as his breathing exercises.  His eyes are open for four to six hours, but he remains in a minimally concious state.  He has been clearly trying to talk today.  

Over the last two days, he has had 30-plus visitors.  The hospital staff constantly comment on how loved he is and they have affectionately claimed him as one of theirs.

Thank you all again for the love and support.  While there have been hiccups, we are reminded that things happen when the good Lord above says they are to happen.  All we need do is have faith and believe in Him. God will handle the rest. Much love to you all.
